Electronics Technician
ABOUT US: We are a leading staffing company, dedicated to connecting talented professionals with exceptional opportunities. Currently, we are partnering with a regional healthcare organization that operates multiple hospitals and clinics. They are seeking an skilled Electronics Technician to join their dynamic team. This position is a full-time (40 hr/wk) contractor position and will require you to live in or around Boise, ID. This is an in-person position that will require you to be in the Boise, ID area.
JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, the Electronics Technician performs technical work inspecting, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining basic (IV, feeding, SCD, and therapy pumps) medical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates a basic working knowledge and use of required test equipment and tools to service electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical circuits.
- Possesses entry level skills to interpret and utilize service manuals, schematics, and other applicable service information
- Assists in the planned maintenance and repairs of medical electronic equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established organization procedures
- Assists Healthcare Technology Management (HTM)/Clinical Engineering team on projects, installs, rounding in departments
- Research parts for ordering, packing equipment for shipment, receiving/stocking parts/equipment.
- Complies with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State, and local codes, regulations, and requirements.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to lift and carry medical electronic equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Field service experience
- Proficiency in using hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and ability to read schematics
- Previous service technician experience
- Knowledge of computer networking and low voltage systems
- Familiarity with using voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
PREFERRED NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work both independently AND collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional planning skills and meticulous documentation abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities and tasks.
